Soda Creek Vineyards had its first harvest in fall of 2007, and we sold the majority of our harvest to Duckhorn Vineyards. We kept a bit of our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes back for a custom-crush operation so that we could create the first release of Soda Creek Vineyards wine. In the fall of 2008, Duckhorn Vineyards once again purchased nearly all of our fruit, and we expect to continue the Soda Creek Vineyards/Duckhorn relationship for the next several years.
You can taste our Sauvignon Blanc grapes in Duckhorn’s 2007 and 2008 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc releases.
The 2007 release was awarded 90 points by Wine Enthusiast. In addition to high ratings, the wine received a very special honor—it was served at Barack Obama’s inaugural luncheon at the White House.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes will be used in later releases of Duckhorn’s Cabernet releases. Our Malbec and Petit Verdot grapes may find their way into Duckhorn wines, as well.
We are proud to be partnered with such a prestigious winery.
